Sotogrande’s summer 2027 agenda — polo, marina life and the Total Solar Eclipse of 2 August as the headline sea experience.

August 2027 will not be an ordinary Costa del Sol summer. Sotogrande adds the Total Solar Eclipse of 2 August 2027 to its polo, sailing and dining calendar — putting the Strait at the centre of global attention.

Polo, marina and food

  • International polo in Sotogrande / San Roque: sunset matches and a classic summer ritual.
  • Marina life: canals, berths and regattas — morning walks along the quay are part of the lifestyle.

The eclipse: 2 August 2027

At Sotogrande / San Roque, IGN lists ~4m 17s of totality (~10:45:30–10:49:47), maximum 10:47:38 (Sun ~38.5°, azimuth ~96°). Partial ~09:41–12:01. Remove ISO 12312-2 glasses only during totality.

Holiday + flotilla
