Terms and conditions

1. Purpose and pre-sale

These terms govern the Early Bird pre-sale of seats on the Totality Sotogrande flotilla for the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027, organised and operated by Sailing Beyond Limits. This is not a standard day charter: it is an advance booking of a future, limited-capacity experience.

2. Price and payment

The published price is paid through the booking process on the website, via travel agencies or OTAs in general. This is a seat pre-sale: a 20% deposit does not apply, nor do deposit schemes used for other nautical products. Payment confirms the seat under these terms. Prices may change throughout the year. We reserve the right to limit or close sales at any time.

3. Cancellation

The deadline to request a cancellation is 30 April 2027 at 23:49:59 (mainland Spain time). After that moment cancellation is not possible, except force majeure. In addition, 90 days or less before the event (2 August 2027) cancellation is not possible except force majeure. Force majeure is interpreted strictly and does not include a change of personal plans, uncertain weather or preference for another boat.

4. Boat and group assignment

Guests cannot choose the vessel. The organisation reserves the right to assign a group name or number. Passengers accept the assignment communicated for the event. Groups of more than 8 people will necessarily be split across different boats.

5. Fleet

This is a fleet of boats. It may include RIBs, motorboats and sailing yachts of different lengths, from 8 to 24 metres. The exact mix on the day depends on operations, safety and capacity.

6. Conduct on board

Due to the nature of the event the following is strictly prohibited:

• Use of drugs or any narcotic substances
• Disturbing marine or coastal wildlife
• Causing nuisance noise
• Using music devices or sound systems
• Throwing litter or waste into the sea

7. Safety and refusal of boarding

The organisation reserves the right to expel guests or refuse boarding if an attitude or state incompatible with onboard safety is detected (including intoxication). In that case there is no right to a refund, unless the organisation decides otherwise.

8. Identification

You must bring identification: passport or ID card. Without a valid document, boarding will not be allowed.

9. Weather and nautical safety

Eclipse viewing depends on sky and sea. Sailing Beyond Limits may change course, anchoring time or protocol for nautical safety. The activity starts at 9:00 a.m.; please arrive 1 hour before.
